2005-07-27 - Øygardstøl - Kjerag - Langavatn
A mean norwegian started his lawn mover at 6.30 am and we had no chance at all to keep on sleeping. The breakfast made us in better mode and we packed the car for further transportation to Öygardsstölen.

We left the carpark at 10.30 with our backpacks, time flies when you have fun, for this years adventure.

The goal this first day was Kjeragbolt, we were promised sunshine and not snow this year! But unfortunately the fog came flying in very quickly when we got higher and we couldn’t see anything after an hour of walking. We found the path sign with the big mound of stones but we couldn’t find the way to Kjeragbolt so we decided to skip it. After about 2 hours of hiking we noticed that we must have taken the wrong direction because we could see the car park again! But after all it is good training.

Now we got the same hill one more time and we manage to find the way to Kjeragbolt with some help from other hikers. But we didn’t want to risk our lives so we have to came back another time and try to walk out on the stone.

Our hike continued then down to Langavatn where we decided to camp near the hut. The time was now 9 pm and the weather was chilly and foggy and our washing up liquid was frosen to ice. It was no problem to sleep and we dreamt about sunshine the entire night.
