Of course, it must be the sun. It was incredible to start the day with sunshine. After our breakfast it was time for us to work. Our first goal was Jöldalshytta but after a couple of kilometres we got into trouble. Berras sole gave up. But our engineering skills fixed the problem right away. But we felt a bit nervous, broken shoes aren’t so good when the hike just started. The terrain was flat and very easy to walk and we reached the hut after some hours. We also noticed that they were doing a big cleanup in the building, and that’s not our favourite occupation so we walked away towards Trollheimshytta. Of course we choose the hard route over Trollhetta. When we looked at the map we all agreed that it was impossibly to reach Trollheimshytta this day. So we took a chance to find a tent place near Trollhetta. After a really heavy hill the terrain became more flat and stony. Not so good when looking for a tent place. But our experience helped us and we stopped near the lakes. The evening started with a refreshing bath in the cold lake. The dinner was excellent and this year we tried a new product, dried sheep meat. It was a hit but it was really salt so we had to drink large amounts of water.
