At nine o'clock we are all packed and the clouds hanging over us, there is rain in the air and before we start hiking we lose each other. We're finding each other after a short time on the way up the mountain. I wanders fast lonely a long way. After a while, when it starts to talk about food we gather and starts to plan dining area. We are going to the water, they say, before the ridge. Bert and Jonas follows me and we go together, well ahead so we set up camp stoves for cooking pasta and Mexican soup, the day before it was Italian. While waiting for the food to be ready all the others shows up and sits down hungrily. We take on more clothes to keep warm. When everyone is fed and carry new energy, we look up at the famous ridge, gently we start walking with a lot of other hikers. The wind is high and some are afraid to fall, there is a narrow rock wall and not only is it difficult to climb on all fours, but they also encounter hikers from the opposite direction. But once you are up, we gather ourselves to see the water surface as they differ four hundred meters apart, beautiful it is. The steps then proceed at a slower pace and descent becomes a difficult stage. However, as we reach Gjendesheim shortly before five, I and my traveling companions sit down to take a breather and wait for our tour guide Bert and Jonas who has gone to fetch the car. Just before five, we say goodbye to Gjendesheim and drives towards Spiterstulen, it becomes a journey of two hours and about 1100 meters above sea level. We set up tents and food is prepared, it will be a cozy night in the tent.
