At the beginning of Leirbreen the fog and the rain began to sweep over the area. We placed the compass on the map and went up the glacier. The first step was Björnskarvet about 3.5 km forward. Now we had to count every rope length to have control over the distance. After some turns to avoid the biggest cracks we arrive at Björnskarvet were we also had a food break and some rest. About 2 PM we reach Storebjörn, 2222 meters above sea. A beautiful view was waiting for us. We were also lucky that sun shined (we have never had bad weather on the peaks). Then we took another way down and reached Smörstabbreen. We followed the compass back to the starting point. When we finally reached real ground the leader decided that the way back to Krossbu should be our own choice. We took a special way to get first. The last meters we were forced to run. Two girls, no name, jumped over a river and they got really wet. But they didn't manage to get first. Now it was time for us to drive to new destinations. We thanked and went to Lom to get more glacier equipment. All my money disappeared in the shop, shit; I can't afford any new wheels to my car this year. The local pub also got a visit. As real outdoor people we slept in the tent at Lom camping.
