The car turns right into the small road to Leirvassbu. We watch the mountains on both sides and finally we can see the lodge. Now it's very cold with a thick fog. We can here someone say, it's always cold here. We agreed. Leirvassbu is situated on 1400 m.a.s. We followed the path to Olavsbu some kilometers and we when we saw the lake Övre Högvagltjönnen it was time to turn left up the ridge to Kyrkjeoksla. A couple of snow fields were passed and also some norwegian families. The fog was still thick and it doesn't seemed to disappear so we took a break at the foot of the mountain and just waited for a while. We can't spent our life sitting here so finally we had to walk upwards. The hill became steeper and steeper but it was no problem to walk at all in the rocks. The last steep passage was a bit harder, we used both arms but we came up at least. On the top we couldn't see a thing but in sunshine it must have been very nice. We also talked to a norwegian family who had brought their little daughter with them. She was probably 4-5 years old. Unbelivable! Just think of here when she is 20 years old, is it Mount Everest then? Her mother said that they had bribed her with a pin. The father was also bribed with a beer! Down to Leirvassbu again with lot of people following us. We had to walk fast. After 4-5 hours of walking we celebrated with a cup of coffee and a beer or was it a pin?
