TESTS

Model

Meindl Tundra Pro, Footwear with Gore-tex.

Year of purchase

1998.

Mileage

Two longer hikes.

Plus

You don't have to "walk in" a pair of Meindl and you don't get any blisters. Thanks to the Gore-tex lining there's no risk to get wet. The boot feels good and it's a pleasure to walk with. The stiff sole also gives you a nice grip on slippery cliffs. My friends will agree when i say that this boots is really fast!

Minus

The breathing doesn't work well even if it's Gore-tex and your feet will feel wet after a hard day of walking. Be careful to change socks when you stop for dinner. Already after a couple of miles the sole edge was broken and the wear on the leather didn't looked good. After this season i sent the boots back to the manufacturer. I thought that i could have a new pair but they just glued it. The manufacturer also asked if it was true that the boots have been used only for a week.
