Description

In the beginning you walk in easy terrain with gras and birch trees. Mosquitoe warning? After a cuople of kilometers when you enter Leirungsdalen the landscape will change dramatic. Steep hillsides with glaciers will make you happy. If you look in the north direction you can perhaps see the powerful Tjörnholstind with it's 2330 metres above sea.

In Leirungsdalen you walk in an almost flat terrain until the steeper passage dowto Svartdalen/Torfinnsdalen appears. But you are lucky, this is only a short hill down to the valley. The last leg to Torfinnsbu is very easy with a nice path and a nice view over the Lake Bygdin and hopefully you'll meet the sunshine.

Worth to know

You can put up your tent almost everywhere, it's no problem at all.

In Leirungsdalen you'll notice some stones placed in circles. These are from the war.

Torfinnsbu - 1060 metres a.s

• Staffed private lodge with 36 beds.
  Season: beginning of july to mid of september.

• Where Torfinnsdalen ends and just near the Lake Bygdin you'll find this cottage. Inside you feel the pleasant atmosphere.
