1997-07-27 - Ivarsten - Geargevaggi (Kungsleden)
We rather like to forget this day (more of that later). It was still warm outside but the wind was increasing a bit. The time was 10.15 when we left and after a while we crossed the borderline. Sweden here we come.

Unfortunately the path sign were very indistinct (first warning?). When we came to the river Gearbiljohka we saw that the bridge wasn't there. We tried to go down the river but it was impossible to get over. That was no good at all. We walked up again and met our friends, father and son and then decided to walk another way around the lakes in north direction.

Where the reindeer guard cottage was situated we took a quick lunch to get some energy. The terrain was flat and easy to walk but there were a lot of creeks to pass. Now we only had to walk through the valley and then we should be near Kungsleden.

The time was 23.15 and we stood on Kungsleden. Hansson nearly lost the balance when he took the first step on the path. Everybody was extremely tired after an eventful day.
