We found it really difficult to decide what do this year. But we both agreed about the country, of course it was Norway. Finally we also had a destination and we were ready to leave our hometown.
The travel took some time and the roads became more and more hilly and meander. We met some cyclists, just like Tour de France and we almost regret that we didn’t brought our bikes with us. Late in the afternoon we reached Lysebotn and the camp where we stayed the night. As usual it was cold with no sunshine and bad service but we had no alternatives. We also got some problems to get a map over the area, as a matter of fact we start looking for maps about 25 kilometres before Lysebotn and we found nothing. That wasn’t good for us...and we will always from now on buy a map at home!
The evening started round the fire with some sausages and other delicious things and we watched the base jumpers in action with the famous Kjerag in the background. 10 points for the nice landing in the tree just outside the camp reception, a winning jump!
We planned of course the next days trip in detail and then it was time for the sleeeping bag and a pleasant sleep in the tent, but we where wrong... | | Picture comment | | Picture (thumbnail) | Picture 05-1-1 We are close to this years basecamp Lysebotn. | | | Picture 05-1-2 Beautiful landscape. | | | Picture 05-1-3 Nice picknick area some kilometers before Øygardsstøl. | | | Picture 05-1-4 The Kjerag cliff. | | | Picture 05-1-5 A parachutist on his way down. | | | Picture 05-1-6 Time for landing. | | | Picture 05-1-7 A perfect landing. | | | Picture 05-1-8 This man was not so lucky.
